C'an Pastilla: Convenient to the airport and the city of Palma, C'an Pastilla is a holiday resort with a selection of budget accommodation and has a picturesque little harbour. The narrow main street can get busy and the resort is looking a little outdated, however the waterfront area has been recently renovated and is lined with restaurants and a variety of shops. Playa de Palma is the large beach and has plenty of facilities - it's great for relaxing on and children will enjoy playing on the climbing frame and trampoline. The Mini-train that runs along the promenade makes it easy to get around. The only downside to this popular resort is its proximity to the airport can cause some problems with noise although the authorities do attempt to keep this to a minimum.

When to go

The major resorts on the south and eastern coast are open all year but you will find that the majority of resort in the north close between November and April. Temperatures in the south average in the low 20's Celsius during the winter months but rise to the high 20's during the summer peak season.

The beach stretches from C'an Pastilla, through Playa de Palma, all the way to Arenal with a mini-train running along the promenade to Arenal.
