Calas de Mallorca is located around 80km from Palma airport. It is a laid back resort and is loved mostly by families. Playa Domingos is the main beach and has warm, crystal clear water perfect for snorkelling. The water can get relatively rough. The town offers a number of bars and restaurants, supermarkets, few discos and tourist shops with the usual collection of souvenirs, jewellery and leather. You can explore the rest of the east coast of Mallorca from here. Most of the entertainment is offered by hotels. Visitors can try exploring the coastline and the neighbouring areas by a hired car. It is set on a cliff top and is not ideal for people with disabilities or for the elderly but does have beautiful views and first-class beaches.

The main attraction in Calas de Mallorca must be its three main beach areas around the resort, which are called Cala Domingos Petis, Cala Antena, and Cala Domingos Grans. Nearby attractions include the Majorca Pearl factory in Manacor, the Caves of Drach, a small aquarium and fun parks. Visitors can explore the town on a 'tourists train'. The natural harbour of Porto Cristo located nearby is well worth visiting. Caves of Drach or to give it its proper name Cuevas del Drach is the most popular of caves for visiting tourists on the island of Majorca. There are three main caves, Cueva Negra (Black Cave), Cueva Blanca (White Cave) and Cueva Luis Salvator. The Caves of Hams or to give it is proper name the Cuevas de Hams is situated near to Porto Cristo. The incomparable beauty of the Caves is heightened by the artistic lighting created by Lorenzo Caldentey, son of the discoverer. Inside the Caves there are several lakes. On the largest of all, the “Sea of Venice”, there are daily performances of our show “Magical Mozart”, in special tribute to the famous composer. Aquarium de Mallorca sits next to the Caves
of Drach and is open throughout the year. For those that want to see a much larger aquarium the recently opened Palma Aquarium will be of more interest. For golf lovers there is the Vall D'Or Golf Course & Restaurant which is a 18-hole par 71 course plus a nice restaurant and several tennis courts.
